Mary Poppins in the garden
Rotary clothes dryers are highly effective helpers in everyday household work since the 1950s. Unlike conventional clothes lines, a rotary clothes dryer can be folded together and stored in a protection cover. The design of the Novaplus Evolution extends this time-proven principle of drying clothes by an exciting aspect of functionality: this rotary clothes dryer can open and deploy the lines “as if all by itself”. The opening and deploying mechanism is activated by a short pull of the handle which makes the dryer unfold in a gentle manner. This automatic movement might have the same effect on the user as the exclamation “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!” by musical and film character Mary Poppins. Just like this loving nanny who with her umbrella floats, so to speak, through everyday life, the opening and deploying movement of this rotary clothes dryer performs its own magic – with an emotionalising appeal for the user. Moreover, an integrated cover which protects the whole dryer opens with just one turn of the hand, this puts an end to the cumbersome folding process and subsequent search for the right protection cover. Other useful design details are non-stretching lines that do not wear out, as well as the fact that the dryer is easy to install in the garden without concrete – where, due to a helical shaped grounding tube, it withstands all kinds of weather conditions. As if bestowing its users with magic abilities, the design of this product thus embodies a new and almost exhilarating lightness.
